Jones to lead Bartlett & West Construction, LLC

OVERLAND PARK, KAN. – Brian Jones recently joined Bartlett & West as the vice president of Bartlett & West Construction, LLC, a Bartlett & West subsidiary. Jones brings nearly 30 years of experience in design-build construction, general contracting, business development, estimating, cost control and scheduling.

Jones replaces Jim Rinner, who led the subsidiary for 12 years. Rinner will remain with Bartlett & West through a transition phase.

Joe Caldwell, Bartlett & West chief executive officer, said Jones’ extensive background in leadership and project management will be an asset to Bartlett & West Construction. “Brian has a great track record in meeting and exceeding client expectations and brings a wealth of knowledge and relationships to the table. When we hire at Bartlett & West, we also look for a good culture fit, meaning someone who treats people well and cares about leading our communities to a better tomorrow, and we have that in Brian,” Caldwell said. “Our company is 100% employee-owned by 100% of our employee-owners, and this ownership mindset brings value to our clients as well. Because every employee-owner has a stake in the future of Bartlett & West, we encourage everyone to make decisions as an owner. Our clients can expect an invested partnership with us.”

Jones brings years of engagement with manufacturing associations and economic development corporations through the Kansas City region, in addition to serving as a mentor to colleagues. Those relationships keep him closely connected to industry trends, business growth initiatives and the broader economic development community.

He will be responsible for the strategic leadership and growth of Bartlett & West Construction and managing relationships with stakeholders.

“I am committed to delivering on client expectations, championing industry best practices and driving sustainable growth,” Jones said. “My leadership approach centers on expanding market share while building a high-performing culture where employee-owners and subcontractors work together to achieve exceptional results.”
