Behrends joins Bartlett & West’s Power Delivery team
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS - Jacob Behrends, P.E., recently joined Bartlett & West as a project manager on the Power Delivery team. He brings more than a decade of experience with a focus on substation protection and control design, and project management.
Behrends will be a resource to support power delivery projects of all sizes throughout the company. “We are thrilled to welcome Jacob as our newest employee-owner and power delivery teammate. His substation design expertise enhances our ability to deliver comprehensive transmission and distribution solutions to our clients,” said Steve Schultz, Emerging Markets team.
Neal Chapman, Power Delivery senior project manager, said Behrends’ experience with clients including investor-owned utilities, electric cooperatives, municipalities, and commercial and industrial companies will be a strong complement to Bartlett & West’s team and ongoing initiatives. “Jacob’s wealth of expertise and leadership skills will be a great asset to our group, and I look forward to the impact he’ll make,” he said.
Behrends is based in the company’s San Antonio office. He has a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering with a minor in business from Texas A&M University in College Station. His portfolio includes a wide range of projects from small protection upgrades and feeder additions to complete greenfield projects and rebuilds of 345-kilovolt substations.
