TRAINING
Team leaders and field staff have all taken OSHA 10-hour training at a minimum, and we provide ongoing safety training opportunities. Furthermore, many employee-owners hold additional certifications as required by client type and scope of work.

COMMUNICATION
Bartlett & West sends monthly safety newsletters to all employee-owners with news, advice and training opportunities. There are also monthly safety meetings for location leaders at each office and monthly safety meetings for team leaders to discuss travel, hotel and site-specific or state-specific safety requirements.

INNOVATION
Bartlett & West has invested in several tools to improve safety on project sites. Drone usage for inspection and LiDAR survey data collection limit the number of staff exposed to hazards like moving traffic. Submersible drones for underwater inspection greatly decreases exposure to confined spaces and large bodies of water. Our flow monitoring automated solution lets project managers measure water flow without entering confined spaces in plants, lift stations and manholes. We believe an investment in equipment is equally important as an investment in training when prioritizing safety.
