Erin Steever receives South Dakota Engineer of the Year award


SIOUX FALLS, S.D.— The National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) selected Erin Steever, a professional engineer and engineering specialist at Bartlett & West, as the South Dakota Engineer of the Year Award at the 62nd NSPE South Dakota Annual Conference.

Steever is a graduate of South Dakota State University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and master’s degree in environmental engineering. She has 20 years of water supply industry experience and joined Bartlett & West in 2020. Her dedication to engineering extends to professional and technical societies, volunteer work and always finding the time to take on more responsibility, as well as being a resource for younger engineers. Steever serves on the Board of Directors for the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Region 7 and has served as a long-time Engineering Week coordinator for the South Dakota Engineering Society (SDES) Eastern Chapter, where they are developing a new STEM outreach program for Siouxland Libraries. She is based out of Bartlett & West’s Sioux Falls office where she is engaged in primarily water and wastewater projects in South Dakota, Kansas, Missouri and Texas.
