Bartlett & West Announces New Service Based in Springfield

Springfield, Mo. – Bartlett & West is excited to announce the addition of surveying capabilities to its suite of engineering/architecture/construction services available locally in Springfield, Mo.

Bartlett & West has been part of the Springfield community for eight years and has made two recent additions to the team based there — Licensed Surveyor Andy Powell and Survey Crew Chief Hank Martin.

The team provides survey services across residential, commercial and industrial sectors including boundary surveys, construction staking topographic surveys for design, LiDAR scanning, ALTA surveys for commercial refinancing (American Land Title Association), easement documentation, and more.

Powell brings 30 years of surveying experience to Bartlett & West, including a commercial drone license, construction layout for new Walmart Supercenters, Lowe’s, and the Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium, and the full reconstruction of both runways at the Springfield-Branson National Airport, multiple commercial and residential subdivisions, and area highway projects.

Martin has been surveying for nearly five years and is completing requirements to become a licensed surveyor.

“We’ve done surveying work in the area for several years now, but the addition of these new employee-owners in Springfield means we can more quickly assist clients with projects in the city and surrounding area,” said Neil Brady, Bartlett & West senior project manager and office manager in Springfield. “The advantage Bartlett & West brings is that while we have a local team to serve our clients, we have access to additional crews from our offices companywide to complete work as well.”

Two area projects Bartlett & West has done survey work for include the Kansas Avenue Widening project for the City of Springfield in 2021 and the Nathan and Olive Boone Homestead State Historic Site for the Missouri State Parks Department topographic survey in 2025. Due to the broad range of surveying services available, prospective clients include general contractors, realtors, utilities, municipalities and architects in and around Springfield, Branson, Joplin, and areas toward Lebanon and West Plains, all in Missouri.
