Ozark County Bridge Awarded for Operations Excellence

JEFFERSON CITY, MO - The Missouri Department of Transportation’s Ozark County North Fork River Bridge Replacement earned an America’s Transportation Award, Mid-America Region, in the category of Operations Excellence.

When the bridge washed away during heavy flooding in April 2017, time was limited to come up with a long-term solution for the rural community affected. After receiving a call for emergency help, the Bartlett & West team began the fastest creation of a bridge design in company history – 23 days. Construction wrapped up in early October 2017, allowing citizens to get back to their daily lives with greater safety and ease.
