Roberts rejoins Bartlett & West as project manager

OVERLAND PARK, KS – Colleen Roberts recently joined Bartlett & West as a project manager focused on business development related to water, wastewater and stormwater services. She has 15 years of experience, most of which was at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in various roles. She is based in Bartlett & West’s Overland Park office.

Roberts brings a unique skillset to Bartlett & West with her experience in levee and federal water work. “Colleen combines deep technical knowledge with proven leadership, making her a valuable addition to our team. She will focus on expanding our market share in water, wastewater and stormwater services throughout the Kansas City metro,” said Andrew Wright, wastewater delivery leader. “Drawing on her extensive experience with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Colleen will help us serve clients in new and innovative ways, furthering Bartlett & West’s commitment to leading our communities to a better tomorrow.”

Roberts has a master’s degree in civil and environmental engineering and a bachelor’s degree in biological engineering from the University of Missouri - Columbia. Her engineering portfolio includes hydrology and hydraulic analysis, floodplain modeling, and water and wastewater design. As a project manager, she has led teams through dam, levee, navigation and hydropower design and construction. She recently was the senior program manager for more than $30 million of flood risk resiliency feasibility studies on the Lower Missouri River.

Roberts said, “I accepted a position with Bartlett & West because of the company culture, flexibility and types of projects. I wanted to get back into working on water and wastewater projects but also hope to bring my federal projects expertise to the company. The company is small enough to feel personal and know your teams but large enough to be able to tackle a wide range of projects.”
